Senior Accounting Manager
Job Description
Our client, a private equity investment firm, is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting Department and manage a small team.
The financial reports, investor reports, fund accounting and management reports are all conducted in-house and not offshored, nor outsourced. The result is much better control of the accounting and reporting requirements, exposure to the overall fund operations, whilst requiring someone who is truly hands-on and with an eye for detail.
Responsibilities include:
• Production and review of financial reports – fund accounting, financial reporting…for various alternative investment funds
• Leadership, management, organization and motivation of the team members
• Review and implementation of accounting, fund administration and valuation procedures
• Act as the main point of contact between sales colleagues and the accounting team
• Review LPAs, capital calls, distributions, deal with investor queries, reports….
• Support external service providers such as auditors, consultants, tax advisors….
The team in Luxembourg is small but busy. This will suit you if you are seeking a role where you can be autonomous, stimulated by interesting work, and appreciate a mature, pleasant working environment. There is a need for some accounting production work, so if you only want to perform oversight and review of accounting, this role is not for you.
Candidate Requirements
• University degree in business, finance or accounting is preferred
• 8+ years of experience in fund accounting and reporting for alternative funds
• Success in managing teams will be required for this role
• Your core skill will be in accounting and at interview you will need to demonstrate this
• Someone who is rigorous, organised and keen to further their knowledge
• Luxembourg private equity funds experience is preferred.
